I hope I can make sense with this, I have almost completed a web site http://franklinartcollection.co.uk and have the search option on the 'Art Collection' page, if I enter a search term and then navigate to 'Medium' then the information and images are missing, it appears the search term has been 'stored' and won't let me hyperlink to the correct page and image. It appears that the search information is stored. Is it possible to clear the search term when another page is navigated to on the site? Or alternatively, is there a way to remove the search box? Many thanks for any helpyou can provide with this!

I understand your problem but with this version, you can't solve it.
If you want to remove the search box, you can disable line 97 in the file "components/com_collector/views/collection/tmpl/default.php" like this:
An option to disable the search box will be implement in a future version.
